For the purpose of implementing its energy management programme, the hospital has established 4 Energy Accounting Centres (EAC). Where needed, the EAC has the authority to establish Sustainability Improvement Teams (SIT) to assist it in its responsibilities. Trained personnel assist to ensure that energy management activities are implemented as planned.

The implementation of energy management measures has resulted in a commendable energy savings of 42% during the years 2018 to 2023, compared to the base year of 2018.

During the NEA 2024 evaluation, Hospital Hulu Terengganu obtained the highest score among the candidates in the Energy Management in Small and Medium Buildings category, leading it to be declared the winner in this category.
