Energy Management in Large Building

With 1,101 beds, this hospital is one of the largest hospitals in the country. It has conducted 2 levels of energy audits, a preliminary energy audit and a detailed energy audit, before embarking on its energy management measures.

In the years 2021 to 2023, it has managed to achieve a commendable energy savings of about 3 to 4% per annum, resulting in a good reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. In addition, it has actively engaged in managing its other wastes, such as paper, cardboard, plastic and steel.

During the NEA 2024 evaluation, Hospital Melaka obtained the second highest score among the candidates in the Energy Management in Large Buildings category, leading it to be declared the runner up winner in this category
