Energy management in Segamat Hospital was made through the participation and involvement of the hospital personnel through Energy Accounting Centres (EAC). A total of 7 EACs had been established for this purpose, consisting of different premises of the hospital and different services, such as air conditioning chillers, boilers, compressed air systems, etc.

From the base year of 2018, the hospital has managed to reduce energy consumption by about 18.5 percent by 2023 through implementing energy management measures.

During the NEA 2024 evaluation, Hospital Segamat obtained the third highest score among the candidates in the Energy Management in Large Buildings category, leading it to be given a merit award in this category.
